2.3K families affected by ‘Goring’

Over 2,000 families have been affected by Tropical Cyclone “Goring,” as of Monday, Aug, 28, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Based on the latest NDRRMC situational report, a total of 2,302 families or 7,919 individuals have been affected.

Meanwhile, a total of 665 persons from Ilocos Region, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa were pre-emptively evacuated.

A total of 2,307 individuals are currently staying in 53 evacuation centers.

Damage to infrastructure is estimated at P40 million.
