Watercraft trips suspended in 8 areas due to ‘Goring’

Watercraft trips to eight areas have been suspended due to Super Typhoon “Goring,” the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) announced Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Strong gale force winds associated with “Goring” and “habagat” are expected to affect the western and southern seaboards of Southern Luzon.

All watercrafts with 250 gross tonnage (GT) and below throughout the ports within the area of responsibility of Batangas are suspended:

  • Oriental Mindoro
  • Marinduque
  • Romblon
  • Polillo Group of Islands
  • Northern Quezon
  • Batangas
  • Southern Quezon
  • Occidental Mindoro

PCG said trips may resume anytime when weather and sea conditions permit.
