PBBM: Fentanyl is taking a toll on FPRRD’s health

Presidential Communications Office

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. urged the doctors of former President Rodrigo Duterte to take good care of him as the effects of the fentanyl were taking an adverse effect on him.

“I think it’s the Fentanyl. Fentanyl is the strongest painkiller that you can buy. It is highly addictive and it has very serious side effects, and PRRD has been taking the drug for a very long time now,” President Marcos said.

President Marcos made the statement when asked to react on the allegations hurled against him by the former president.

“When was the last time he told us that he was taking Fentanyl? Mga five, six years ago, something like that. After five, six years, it has to affect him kaya palagay ko, kaya nagkakaganyan. So, you know, I hope his doctors take better care of him than this – hindi pinababayaan itong mga nagiging problema,” President Marcos added.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) denied Duterte’s allegation saying that President Marcos has never been on the watchlist for persons linked to illegal drug use. PND
