PBBM scores 50% approval, trust ratings: Pulse Asia polls

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. scored 50% on the latest Pulse Asia survey on the performance and trustworthiness of the country’s top government officials, which was released Monday night.

The survey, conducted from Sept. 6 to 13, 2024 indicated that Marcos’ approval and trust scores were at 50%.

Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte’s approval went down by 9 percentage points, while her trust rating dipped by 10 percentage points.

The President’s satisfaction rating in September is 3 points lower than June’s figure of 53%.

The September survey found that 29% of the respondents were undecided and 21% were dissatisfied with Marcos’ performance.

The President’s trust score in September also slightly dropped 2 points from the 52% recorded in June.

The survey showed that 22% of the respondents had little or no trust for the President, while 28% were undecided.

Among geographical areas, the President got the highest satisfaction rating in Balance Luzon at 61%, followed by Metro Manila and Visayas both at 52%.

He got the lowest score in Mindanao at 26%.

President Marcos’ trust rating was highest in Balance Luzon at 64%, while the lowest was recorded in Mindanao at 21%.

Marcos’ approval and trust ratings were highest among the Class D income bracket, with both at 52%.

Duterte’s approval went down from 69% in June to 60% in September, while her trust rating went down from 71% to 61%.

For other government officials, Senate President Chiz Escudero had an approval rating of 60% and a trust rating of 56%.

House Speaker Martin Romualdez received a 32% approval score and a 31% trust score among respondents.

The September 2024 Ulat ng Bayan national survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 2,400 respondents nationwide. The survey has a ±2% error margin at the 95% confidence level.
