President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. graced an oath-taking ceremony held at Malacañan Palace on Monday, April 7, which saw 39 general officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) taking their oath of office.

Among those promoted were four Police Lieutenant Generals, 11 Police Major Generals, and 24 Police Brigadier Generals—marking a significant milestone in their professional journey as leaders and public servants within the PNP.

President Marcos lauded the newly appointed officers, entrusting them with his full confidence in their capacity to uphold public order and wholeheartedly serve the Filipino people.

“Remember, you are not only rising in rank, you are also rising in responsibility. Let your actions be rooted in what is right, what must be done, and what is legally mandated,” the Chief Executive added, urging the officers to lead by example.

“Rest assured, the nation and I commend the hard work that you do. We are all part of a larger mission to create a safer, more just, and more prosperous Philippines,” Marcos said.

“Now more than ever, the Filipino people look to us—as leaders and protectors—to be reliable, responsive, and resolutely committed to safeguarding the lives of every citizen,” the Chief Executive added, reminding the officers to keep public interest at the forefront of their duties as guardians of peace and safety.

Also present at the event were PNP Chief PGEN. Rommel Francisco Marbil, along with the families and loved ones of the police officers.
