The Palace has reaffirmed the Marcos Jr. administration’s commitment to improving food accessibility and affordability, as it welcomed the latest expansion of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Program, which may reach 1,500 stores nationwide by 2028.

At the Malacañang press briefing, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro highlighted the significance of the recent agreement between the Department of Agriculture (D.A.) and the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), which will scale up the presence of Kadiwa stores across the country.

Under the agreement, the D.A. will ensure the availability of safe and quality agricultural products, while PHLPost will provide operational spaces and facilities in its post office branches nationwide.

She said the partnership brings benefits not only to consumers but also to PHLPost workers and local communities.

(PNA)
