‘Vinta’ trough to bring rains over Palawan: PAGASA

MANILA — Typhoon “Vinta” may have left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Christmas Eve, but Palawan province would continue to experience moderate to heavy rainshowers this Christmas Day.

In its latest bulletin, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the trough of “Vinta” would bring cloudy skies and scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan.

PAGASA said a tail-end of a cold front in Cagayan de Oro would bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while the easterlies or winds blowing from the east would likewise bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Bicol region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains would be experienced in the Ilocos region, Cordillera, and the rest of Central Luzon due to the prevailing northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country would experience cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms. (PNA)
