PNP, nakatutok sa pagtiyak ng ligtas na Bagong Taon matapos ang pangkalahatang mapayapang Pasko

Naka-tutok ngayon ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa pagtiyak ng ligtas na pagdiriwang ng bagong taon matapos ang pangkalahatang mapayapang pagdiriwang ng pasko.

Ito ang inihayag ni PNP Deputy Spokesperson Superintendent Vimelee Madrid batay sa monitoring ng PNP-National Operations Center mula Disyembre 16 hanggang alas-6 ng umaga ngayong araw, sa pagpapatupad ng “Ligtas Paskuhan 2017″.

Iniulat ni Madrid na 27,772 PNP personnel ang dineploy sa mga pampublikong lugar tulad ng mga ports, terminals, malls at iba pang pasyalan para sa seguridad ngayong holiday season.

Nakapagtala naman aniya ng 36 na insidente nationwide kaugnay ng pagdiriwang ng holiday season na kinabibilangan ng 14 na insidente ng illegal discharge of firearms, 12 insidente ng illegal possession of firecrackers, 2 stray bullet incidents, at 8 firecracker-related incidents.

Wala namang iniulat na nasawi sa mga insidenteng ito, pero may 15 iniulat na injured, kung saan ang tatalo dito ay dahil sa illegal discharge of firearms, habang 12 ang dahil sa paputok.

Samantala, siyam ang inaresto ng PNP dahil sa illegal discharge of firearms at pinaghahanap pa ang pitong pang suspek; habang anim ang arrestado at tatlo ang pinaghahanap dahil sa illegal na paputok. | (Leo Sarne/Radyo Pilipinas)
