Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro reassured the masses that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is doing well on the heels of a prolonged lack of public engagements.

At the Malacañang press briefing held on Wednesday, Castro said that the Chief Executive is preoccupied with various closed-door engagements at the seat of the government, which explains his recent absence from the public eye.

The Palace mouthpiece meanwhile reiterated that as of press time, there are no threats against the country’s highest government official that have been monitored by the government.

Marcos’ last public appearance was during the launch of the Personalized Student Beep Cards on Sept. 20, which the President hailed as part of the government’s continuing efforts to modernize public transportation.
