Current officials under the Executive branch still enjoy the trust and confidence of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Malacañang said Tuesday, amid rumors of another reshuffle in the current administration’s Cabinet.

In a press briefing Tuesday, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro was asked about alleged reports of a Cabinet revamp involving Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Aguda, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Rolando Toledo, and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla.

“Sa ngayon po ay wala pa rin pong ipinapaabot sa atin na update, pero kapag mayroon, ibibigay ko po agad sa inyo,” Castro told reporters.

The Palace official was pressed further on potential appointees, especially as the one-year appointment ban on candidates who lost in the 2025 midterm elections already lapsed.

Among the 2025 candidates who were reportedly being eyed for Cabinet posts include former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, who ran for senator under the “Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas” ticket endorsed by Marcos.

“Siguro kapag mayroon na po akong listahan ibibigay ko po agad sa inyo. Ayaw kong pangunahan ang ating Pangulo,” Castro maintained.

Meanwhile, Aguda has denied rumors of his resignation and stressed that false information is being spread to “sow confusion and undermine public trust.”

“As with all members of the Cabinet, I continue to serve at the pleasure of the President and remain fully committed to carrying out the mandate entrusted to me by the administration,” he said in a statement.

Marcos appointed Aguda as DICT chief in March last year.
