Residents in Metro Manila and Metro Cebu can now taste the world-famous mangoes of Guimaras right at their doorstep, as the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) launched a special delivery service to celebrate the province’s Manggahan Festival, which runs from May 15 until May 24.

On Wednesday, PHLPost signed a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Provincial Office of Guimaras and the Guimaras Mango Growers and Producers’ Development Cooperative to strengthen the province’s mango value chain while supporting mango farmers and producers.

Building on the “ManGOES to the Metro” initiative launched in 2025, the new collaboration further enhances market opportunities for the esteemed fruit by expanding delivery coverage beyond Metro Manila to include Metro Cebu.

“Sa tulong ng DTI, PHLPost, at ng Guimaras Mango Growers and Producers Development Cooperative, mas mailalapit na sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino ang tunay na pride of Guimaras habang natutulungan din ang ating local mango farmers,” PHLPost said in a social media post, underscoring its push to “deliver fresh produce in support of local farmers.”

PHLPost Area Director for Western Visayas Atty. Benjie Yotoko, DTI Guimaras OIC Juvy Benliro, and Guimaras Mango Growers and Producers’ Development Cooperative Chairperson and President Ramy Pudadera sign a memorandum of agreement for the transport of fresh Guimaras mangoes to Metro Manila and Metro Cebu at the DTI Guimaras Provincial Office in San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. To place orders, customers may visit the website: mangoestometro.com, fill out the required delivery and quantity details, and settle the online payment requirements.

For a price of P1,600 in Metro Manila and P1,500 in Metro Cebu, buyers will receive a 5-kg box of premium Guimaras mangoes bearing the Geographical Indication (GI) Seal within three to seven business days.

A GI Seal is a certification mark given by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) to products in recognition of their quality, characteristics, and reputation, as well as geographical source.

Guimaras mangoes are the first-ever Philippine product with a GI seal, affirming the fruit’s unparalleled sweetness, distinct shape, and vibrant color—all attributed to the province’s unique environment and traditional farming practices.
