The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) launched on Tuesday a Taxpayer Portal as part of its continuing efforts to modernize tax administration and promote ease of doing business.
In its Revenue Memorandum Circular 053, BIR said the portal is a secure digital platform that provides taxpayers with single-view online access to their tax information.
Taxpayers can conveniently view their current registration details, monitor the status of filed tax returns, track tax payments, and receive timely system-generated reminders for tax return filing and payment obligations, reducing the need for manual follow-ups and in-person visits to BIR offices.
The pilot implementation of the portal covers taxpayers registered under the offices or divisions of its Large Taxpayers Service (LTS).
This aims to support the gradual rollout of the system to other types of taxpayers by ensuring its operational readiness before a wider deployment.
“This launch reflects the direction we continue to pursue as an institution with the support of the Department of Finance and our stakeholders—a bureau that is more modern in system, more responsive in service, and more worthy of the trust of taxpayers and the Filipino people,” BIR Commissioner Charlito Mendoza said during the launch.

BIR urged taxpayers to coordinate directly with their concerned Large Taxpayers Office or Division where they are registered for enrollment assistance and technical concerns regarding the use of the portal or issues regarding the accuracy of taxpayer records reflected in their account.
“For many years, our taxpayers, especially our large taxpayers, needed to navigate complexity, multiple systems, fragmented records, and repeated follow-ups just to complete what should be straightforward obligations. But this is what we are changing today,” Finance Secretary Frederick Go said.
“The taxpayer portal is built on a simple but powerful idea. If compliance is clear, simple, and accessible, people could comply better.”
He also said under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the BIR is “always pushing to find pain points, to find challenging experiences of Filipinos when dealing with the government, and trying to find solutions to those pain points.”
“What is happening here this morning is a very, very good example of how the Bureau of Internal Revenue, led by Commissioner Mendoza, has been responding to the call of the administration,” Go said.
