Reinforcing the administration’s commitment to ensure that Filipino families have access to decent and affordable homes, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) to 100 families in Lucena City on Tuesday.

Under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, these families received their long-overdue COEs that were covered by Presidential Proclamation No. 436, issued in 2003.

Earlier, 185 families were also awarded under the said proclamation, which formally recognizes their right to acquire the residential lots they have long occupied.

Since reviving land distribution covered by various proclamations under the Expanded 4PH, a total of 684 families have already received either Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) or Certificates of Lot Award (CELAs) from the government.

These include 228 beneficiaries under Presidential Proclamation No. 550 in Los Baños, Laguna; 58 under Presidential Proclamation No. 574 in Narra, Palawan; 213 under Presidential Proclamation No. 1538 in Jaro, Iloilo City; and 185 qualified beneficiaries under Presidential Proclamation No. 436 in Lucena City, Quezon.

In a statement, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling hailed the administration’s commitment to ensure that security of tenure would be granted to families who have occupied their respective dwelling places for a long time in recognition of various Presidential proclamations.
