MANILA — The country will continue to experience scattered rains due to various weather systems affecting it, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday morning.

The tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern part of southern Luzon and of Visayas will cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol and Quezon.

Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies affecting the eastern part of the island.

The northeast monsoon affecting northern and central Luzon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Aurora, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos, and the rest of central Luzon and of Calabarzon.

Mimaropa region, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, strong to gale force winds will prevail over Luzon and eastern Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be rough to very rough.

Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds will prevail with moderate to rough seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
