2 suspected robbers nabbed in Isabela

CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City — Cagayan Valley policemen arrested two notorious holdup men on Sunday in Sta. Maria, Isabela.

Police Regional Office 2 (PRO 2) information officer Superintendent Chevalier Iringan on Monday identified the two suspects as Teddy Santos, 49, of Barangay Cattaran, Solana, Cagayan and Roberto Pestano, 48, of Barangay Minanga Sur, San Pablo in Isabela.

Their apprehension came after the Sta. Maria Police Station (SMPS) received information from barangay officials of the suspects’ presence in the village.

The suspects, who were spotted on board a Mitsubishi sedan with plate number TMD 870, yielded a .45 caliber pistol and 12-gauge shotgun, various ammunition, four mobile phones, bonnets, face masks, kitchen knife, a samurai and PHP19,000.

The two suspects and the confiscated items were brought to the SMPS for proper disposal. They are set to be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. (PNA)
