BACOLOD CITY — The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) awarded certificates of commendation to four police officers for excellent performance and high degree of professionalism for the month of January in rites held at the headquarters Monday.
Superintendent Richie Yatar of the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company was commended for the manhunt operation that led to the arrest of robbery suspect Glenn Fidel.
The three others were from Police Station 4, including station head Chief Inspector Ritchie Gohee and Senior Police Officer 1 Alexander Bata-anon Jr., for the conduct of buy-bust operation that resulted to the arrest of drug suspect Charmie Grace Palandras Panhilason, as well as Senior Police Officer 1 for the arrest of robbery suspect Lucky Rose Fernandez.
This is the second time the Bacolod police recognized its top performers this month.
Earlier, given honors were Police Stations 1 headed by Senior Inspector Leo Estopa; Police Station 2 headed by Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias; Police Station 3 under Senior Inspector Jun Ray Batadlan; Police Station 5 led by Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana; and Police Station 6 under Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel.
Certificates of recognition were awarded to the units that ranked number one in various anti-crime and enforcement campaigns for the month of December 2017.
Police Station 1 topped the campaign against loose firearms; Police Station 2, campaign against illegal gambling; and Police Station 3, implementation of city ordinances.
Certificates of commendation were also given to Police Station 5 for its immediate response that led to the arrest of two persons in Barangay Vista for violation of City Ordinance 358 and for alarm and scandal, and Police Station 6, for the confiscation of several firearms and ammunition.
Also commended were the City Intelligence Unit under Superintendent Nasruddin Tayuan for the conduct of buy-bust operation that yielded 4.924 grams of illegal drug “shabu,” among others; Police Station 1, for an arrest and confiscation of caliber .38 revolver and five live ammunition; and Mobile Patrol Group for an immediate response involving attempted parricide.
The BCPO also awarded certificates of appreciation to its force multipliers, including the Bantay-Bayan Federation Inc., Community Investigative Support, and Crime Stopper for their voluntary and unwavering services during the Yuletide season; and to the Strikers Group for its invaluable support and selfless dedication in the “Kontra Boga” campaign and Suko Baril Program.
