100K passport appointment slots for February-May opened

CAPAS, Tarlac — Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano on Tuesday announced that 100,000 passport application appointment slots from February to May had been made available to the public starting today.

“Every day, we will be putting more slots so that all of you who want to travel during the summer will not be hampered for lacking passport,” he said during a keynote at the groundbreaking ceremony of the National Government Administrative Center in Capas, Tarlac.

The general public can access the slots by visiting and scheduling appointment at https://passport.gov.ph.

Recently, the DFA cancelled more than 50,000 bogus appointments, enabling the opening of more passport appointment slots to the public.

It also removed 1,200 slots in DFA-ASEANA previously reserved for travel agencies. Portal for first-time overseas Filipino workers was also made available, with 1,000 slots allotted for qualified applicants daily. (PNA)
