COTABATO CITY – Traffic enforcers, backed by the military-led Task Force Talakudong (Protection), impounded Tuesday a total of 274 motor vehicles in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

In a report, Chief Insp. Danile Celestino, Isulan police chief, said those impounded comprised of 232 single motorcycles, 41 tricycles and one multicab.

Celestino said violations of the impounded vehicles ranged from expired drivers’ licenses, questionable official receipt and certificate of motor registration.

He says that their periodic Oplan, Dakop Salakyan (Vehicle
Apprehension), intends to seize dubious vehicles used by lawless elements for their nefarious activities in the Isulan area.

Celestino said owners could claim their respective vehicles in the Isulan police impounding area if they pay the corresponding amount for violations as specified by the Land Transportation Office. (Noel Punzalan/PNA)
