19 arrested for illegal drugs in Central Luzon

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga –- At least 19 suspected drug personalities were arrested Monday in a series of anti-illegal drug operations in Central Luzon.

Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, Police Regional Office-3 (Central Luzon) head, said the intensified campaign against illegal drugs was part of their continuing effort to make the region drug-free.

“The PNP-PRO3 is conducting pro-active operations against all forms of illegal drugs in order to achieve our quest for a drug-free Central Luzon,” Corpus said.

He said the regionwide anti-drug operations Monday led to the arrests of 11 drug suspects in Pampanga; three in Bulacan; two in Zambales and one each in Bataan, Tarlac, and Nueva Ecija.

Those arrested in Pampanga  were Erwin Mallari of San Fernando; Wendell Bautista and Juan Paolo del Rosario, both of Bacolor; Aladin de Leon, Sabado Fernandez, Allan Garcia, Nilo Medina,  Renan Langsangan,  Nomer Bautista, Ninoy Fernandez and Junior Mendoza, all from Mabalacat City.

In Bulacan, those nabbed were Jessica Mae Gonzales of City of Meycauayan; Jean Mhar Cabanganan of San Ildefonso town and Elison Magaro of San Miguel town.

In Zambales, those apprehended were Raymunda Mawali and Gilbert Isaac, both residents of Subic town.

Other arrested were Emelito Reyes of Orion, Bataan; Richard Alberto of Nueva Ecija; and Mark Atencio of La Paz, Tarlac.

Corpus said the drug suspects were arrested during buy bust operations where several sachets containing suspected “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrchloride, illegal drug paraphernalia and marked money were confiscated.  (Ric Sapnu/PNA)
