DOT chief, pol adviser to represent PRRD in Panagbenga

BAGUIO CITY — Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo-Teo and political adviser Francis Tolentino will represent President Rodrigo R. Duterte in the grand parades of the 23rd Baguio Flower Festival or Panagbenga, Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan said.

The city government had sent an invitation to Malacañang Palace for the President to be the guest speaker for the annual festival’s grand street dancing parade on Saturday.

The mayor said it is unfortunate that the President’s schedule does not permit his attendance to one of the highlights of the Panagbenga.

He, however, said the President had instead appointed Tolentino to deliver his message to the city of Baguio.

With the grand celebration happening on Saturday and Sunday, Domogan also announced that classes in all levels for both public and private schools will be suspended on Saturday to give way for the festivities, which carry the theme, “Celebration of Culture and Creativity”.

The Baguio Flower Festival Foundation said everything is all systems go for the much-awaited festival. (PNA)
