DTI eyes setup of Negosyo Centers in 130 towns, cities in C. Luzon

QUEZON, Nueva Ecija — The Department of Trade and Industry ((DTI) is eyeing to establish a Negosyo Center in each of the 130 municipalities and cities in Central Luzon within the administration of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

DTI-Central Luzon Director Judith Angeles made this disclosure following the opening of a Negosyo Center in this municipality that would fast-track business processing here.

This is the 67th Negosyo Center in the region and the 13th in Nueva Ecija province.

Angeles is confident that their agency could meet their goal, as signified by the interest and support of local government units (LGUs).

“At the rate things are going, local executives notice that businesses come when there is a Negosyo Center in their respective areas. Thus, they are now in a hurry to have a Negosyo Center. So maybe in three years, we are done,” she said.

The DTI official said the centers bring the government to prospective investors by providing necessary assistance and information.

“A Negosyo Center makes it easier to start a business,” she said, identifying business name registration as among its services.
