
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte arrived in Hong Kong on Tuesday, April 10, after his successful trip to Hainan Province in China.
President Duterte proceeded to Hong Kong after his participation at the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) in Hainan.
The President’s chartered aircraft touched down at 11:34 p.m. at Hong Kong International Airport.
The Chief Executive was received by Philippine Consul General in Hong Kong Antonio Morales and Deputy Consul General Roderico Atienza.
Fiona So, Chief Officer (visits) and Honorary Aide-de-Camp Lam Kam-Kwong also welcomed President Duterte.
On April 12, the President will meet with around 2,500 Filipinos in Hong Kong.
In his departure statement in Davao City, the Chief Executive said he will report to the Filipino community the developments in the country.
He also wishes to listen to their concerns and hopes, stressing his commitment to support those who have left the Philippines to provide a better future for their families.
The President also met with the Filipino community during his first working visit in Hong Kong in May last year.
Duterte is expected to arrive in Davao City on early Friday morning, April 13. ###(PND)
