DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) District Office here can now process more applications for the five-year driver’s license following the arrival of additional equipment on Monday.
LTO-Dumaguete City officer-in-charge district chief Alberta Janine Lawas said Tuesday her office received an additional workstation in line with the agency’s printing of the new driver’s license card that is valid for five years.
She said the number of driver’s license cards printed per day will now be almost doubled.
“So we can now cater to more than the number of what we had previously catered to,” she said.
“Before it was only 85, now we can cater up to 150 per day,” she added, noting provided there is an internet connection.
Lawas said the printing of the five-year driver’s license cards was previously on a scheduled basis.
The LTO District Office can now also cater to walk-in clients, she added. (Mary Judaline Partlow/PNA)
