Laguna police conducts ‘Operation Libreng Tuli 2018’

CAMP GEN. PACIANO RIZAL, Santa Cruz, Laguna – Besides the prodding of parents, it took the convincing power and support from the Laguna police community relations branch (PCRB) for nearly 30 young boys and teenagers to undergo the so-called rite of passage to manhood.

In a report on Monday, Police Senior Inspector Gerry L. Sangalang, chief of the Laguna police public information office, said the provincial police command, headed by Police Senior Supt. Kirby Jhon Brion Kraft, embarked on one of their summer activities with “Operation: Libreng Tuli” (free circumcision) at this camp here.

Sangalang said Supt. Andres O. Simbajon Jr., Deputy Provincial Director for Administration and Chief Inspector Pastor P. Castillo, chief of the PCRB, spearheaded the free circumcision project for boys and teenagers aged seven to 13 years old.

He said the police “Libreng Tuli” project was in partnership with the Laguna Provincial Health Office Team, headed by Police Chief Inspector Lorie Liza G. Ramillano; Police Regional Office (PRO4-A) Health Service Team headed by Police Chief Inspector Gary V. Paredes and Cavinti, Laguna municipal health officer Dr. Edilberto Castillo.

He said the PCRB personnel have calmed the fears among the kids before they underwent the minor surgeries and cheered them after the operation.

The Laguna provincial police office also distributed free medicines and medical supplies to the newly-circumcised boys. (PNA)
