NCRPO chief dangles rewards for good cops

MANILA — Rogue policemen, as well as abusive and tardy officers of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) will get their due swiftly, NCRPO Chief Director Camilo Cascolan said Thursday.

“As much as we are eager to clean our ranks, we have to observe speedy but thorough investigation.” Cascolan said.

He reiterated that there is zero tolerance for erring or abusive and tardy policemen of the NCRPO in line with its intensified Internal Cleansing Program.

Cascolan ordered the NCRPO Discipline, Law and Order Section, Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division – Pre-Charge Section, and Legal Service to hasten their investigation on cops saddled with criminal and administrative complaints.

He also reiterated his directives to all NCRPO District Directors, Chiefs of Police and Station Commanders to perform their respective task and duties well and to monitor and ensure that their men are doing well and recognition will follow.

“More than any award, I would like to emphasize that recognition or even a simple appreciation for the good deeds that you do for the organization and for the public will definitely bring you pride and feeling of satisfaction,” Cascolan said.

Currently, the NCRPO, through its Regional Personnel Records and Management Division, is drafting awards and recognitions for the regional director’s approval.

Each award, which is strictly verified by the personnel of Morale and Welfare Section, has its equivalent Service Leave Credits that would allow the awardees to spend quality time with their family. (Benjamin Pulta/PNA)
