LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — Famed foreign and local triathletes from various parts of the country, as well as showbiz personalities and beauty titlists, will join the Tigasin Triathlon here this Saturday and Sunday.
In a statement, the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said the athletes will “battle for supremacy in a standard distance triathlon with 1.5-kilometer swimming leg, 40-km biking leg, and 10-km running leg”.
“On its maiden bow in Pangasinan last year, Tigasin Triathlon not only featured the beauty of the province, but opened doors for locals to witness such sport, as well as to inspire them to engage in rigorous sports activities,” it said.
PIO, however, did not yet reveal the athletes’ and artists’ names.
Tigasin Triathlon was organized by the Trisports Solutions, and sponsored by Northern Cement Corporation.
This is the second time the province will host the sporting event, which is a post Pistay Dayat activity. (PNA)
