Dapitan woman yields P380K worth ‘shabu’ in anti-drug ops: PDEA

ZAMBOANGA CITY–The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Tuesday said they filed a case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against a woman suspected of being a big time drug dealer.

Charged before the Dipolog City Prosecutor’s Office is Vierna Guinares alias Bingkay Pantoja, 43, a resident of Barangay Sta. Isabel, Dipolog City, according to PDEA Regional Director Laurefel Gabales.

Gabales said Pantoja was arrested in Brgy. Larayan, Dapitan City, on Friday (May 11) during a buy-bust operation by joint PDEA and police team. Pantoja is facing cases involving the sale and possession of illegal drugs.

Police said she yielded 55.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” packed in three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, with an estimated value of Php380,101.64, as well as Php1,000 marked money. (PNA)
