MANILA—Warm weather will prevail all over the country due to the easterlies and the ridge of high pressure area (HPA) affecting northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, Pagasa added that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds blowing from east to southeast will bring in slight to moderate coastal waters in Northern Luzon and the rest of the Philippines.

Metro Manila is expected to log a temperature of 26 to 35 degrees Celcius; Tuguegarao City 26-38 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 17-26 degrees Celsius; Angeles City 27-36 degrees Celsius; Metro Davao 26-33 degrees Celsius; and Zamboanga City 25-35 degrees Celsius.

The hottest temperature recorded Wednesday was 35.3 degrees Celsius at 1:50 p.m. while the minimum was recorded at 26.2 at 5:50 a.m. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
