Duterte appoints PDEA exec as BOC deputy commissioner

MANILA — President Rodrigo R. Duterte has appointed a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) executive as deputy commissioner of the Bureau of Customs (BOC).

In an appointment paper signed on Monday, Duterte designated PDEA Assistant Secretary and Deputy Director General for Administration Jesus Fajardo as new BOC deputy commissioner.

Fajardo will replace Natalio Ecarma III.

Aside from Fajardo, Duterte also appointed the following:

  • Jose Valdez Campo — Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Assistant General Manager for Planning
  • Irene Christine Caling Peliño — Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Professional Regulatory Board of Optometry Member
  • Mario Tolentino Flores Jr. — Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Professional Regulatory Board of Optometry Member
  • Alfonso Vicente Jr. – Department of Justice (DOJ), National Prosecution Service, Office of the City Prosecutor-Cagayan de Oro City Prosecutor III
  • Mahmod Mala Langco Adilao — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion Board Member
  • Erni Guillermo Bagggao — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Domestic Construction Board Member
  • Maria Rowena Flores-Sabban — Presidential Legislative Liaison Office, Presidential Legislative Liaison Officer III
  • Howard Randy Arzadon — Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, Assistant Government Corporate Counsel
  • Clariza Mae Columna — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Foreign Trade Service Corps. Foreign Trade Service Officer IV
