2 LPAs to bring scattered rains over PH: PAGASA

MANILA—Two low-pressure areas (LPAs) embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rain showers in the country Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by ITCZ, while Palawan will experience moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country means partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Western Visayas and Palawan will have moderate to occasionally strong winds coming from the southwest to the southeast to bring moderate to occasionally rough coastal waters.

In an extended weather outlook today, Metro Manila temperature is expected at 27-36 degrees Celcius; Tuguegarao 26-36 degrees Celcius; Baguio City 17-25 degrees Celcius; Angeles City 26-32 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 23-33 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 24-32 degrees Celsius. (Lily O.
