DSWD releases P81-M for Batangas skills training program

BATANGAS CITY, July 15 — The Department of Social Welfare and Development Calabarzon region ((DSWD-IVA) has forged a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Batangas provincial government for a sustainable livelihood program.

The partnership agreement was signed by DSWD Calabarzon Regional Director Leticia Diokno and Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas at the Provincial Capitol here.

Batangas is among the recipients of the DSWD program for the Calabarzon region comprising Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon.

The signing ceremony themed “Handog na Kakayahan, Hanapbuhay na Pangmatagalan” focused on forging collaborative partnership between the DSWD and Batangas for a sustainable livelihood program for Batangueños.

The program aims to strengthen employment, entrepreneurial skills and micro-enterprise through various training programs especially among the marginalized and disadvantaged sectors.
