Gov’t agencies jointly hold MSME growth training in Tuguegarao

TUGUEGARAO CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the city government of Tuguegarao will jointly conduct the pilot run of a technical training seminar intended to help accelerate the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) here.

The 12-day Rural Impact Sourcing (RIS) technical training, set to begin on June 13, will take place at the city hall in Carig Sur here.

The training program seeks to arm 29 local MSMEs knowledge on how to maximize the use of e-commerce in their respective businesses, organizers said. In the course of the training, each MSME will partner with scholars of the DICT and CGT who will provide technical assistance in the creation of their online platforms.

In the orientation held June 5 at the Negosyo Center in this city, DTI Cagayan Provincial Director Bernardino Mabborang formally welcomed representatives of participating MSMEs and expressed elation in their interest to take part in the new program. (Simeon Dilan/PNA)
