Duterte’s aide advances PRRD’S 3-point campaign for the youth

Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Wednesday, June 6, said that the Duterte administration’s three-point campaign against drugs, criminality and corruption would benefit the youth and those people who are in need in the country.

Secretary Go said in a press briefing at the Presidential Guesthouse that they are on a mission to encourage the youth to focus more on sports to instil in them values of discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Go, who is an avid basketball fan, has always been involved in various charity basketball events to spread this advocacy to the youth.

“Maraming gustong sumali sa three-point shootout. At ‘yung programa namin na three-point campaign laban sa droga, korapsyon, at saka sa kriminalidad, ay marami pong sumasali,” Go said.

“So sa lahat ng mga kahit na po may mga kapansanan, pwede kayong sumali sa mga three-point shootout namin,” he added.

Among the participants of the three-point shootout is a man who has been suffering from a cyst on his back since he was 17 years old.

Go said his office will be providing him medical assistance.

Meanwhile, Sec. Go tapped the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to assist an 11-year-old table tennis player in need of educational assistance and additional athletic training.

“He started playing table tennis at the age of eight years old. Sumali po siya sa recently concluded na World Championship of Ping Pong in London and sumali rin siya sa Philippine Super League Table Tennis Tournament. Sumali rin siya doon sa Naga for selection of players for Philippines team. Kaya lang po, kailangan niya ng konting tulong, uniporme, titirhan, at sa kanyang pagte-training po,” Go said.

“Pinakiusapan po namin si Comm. Fernandez ng PSC kung papaano po namin siya matutulungan through PSC and through our office po,” he said. (PND)
