Dasmariñas City, TESDA offering free tech-voc training

DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – The office of Cavite 4th District Representative Jenny Austria-Barzaga has teamed up with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in offering free technical vocational (TechVoc) training on beauty care, electronic products assembly, dressmaking, and hairdressing to qualified city residents.

The free technical vocational training, which comes with free kits and allowances, is open to all residents and registered voters of this city, between 18 to 25 years old, who have completed high school (old curriculum or Grade 12).

Interested applicants may proceed to DASCA office (look for Joanne Mata or Jocelyn Pandar) with complete documentary requirements like photocopies of diploma and Form 137, voter’s ID/certification and an endorsement from the barangay.

Only those with complete requirements will be accepted on a first come-first served basis. Deadline for submission of application is on June 18 (Monday).

City residents may also soon avail of free dental services at the Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas (PND) with the opening of its dental clinic here.

Per advisory received Thursday, the dental clinic, which was formally blessed and inaugurated early this month, will offer consultation and dental extraction with anesthesia and post–operative medication for tooth extraction, all for free.

Equipped with 3 dental chairs, patients will be treated on a first-come-first-served basis, with special priority given to senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), pregnant women and children.

The dental clinic, located at the ground floor of PND, is set to open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This first class component city, known for its “Paru-Paro” Festival, is one of the most vibrant cities in the Province of Cavite in terms of service for its constituents.

Its other help programs include birthday cash gifts to PWDs, city scholarship program, job fairs, including free crematorium services, among others. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
