Semerad, Santos fined for late-game spat

MANILA — TNT KaTropa’s Anthony Semerad and San Miguel Beermen’s Arwind Santos were each slapped with fines for their commotion in their teams’s PBA Commissioner’s Cup clash on Saturday night.

The league handed separate PHP20,000 sanctions for Semerad and Santos, who were both slapped with Flagrant Fouls Penalty 2 for their confrontation late into the game.

On the other hand, KaTropa Don Trollano was also slapped with a PHP20,000 fine after his flagrant foul was upgraded to Penalty 2 upon review.

Interestingly, Marcio Lassiter and Terrence Romeo, who also had an altercation earlier in the game and were also sent off, were spared of fines.

Meanwhile, NLEX Road Warrior’s Mike Miranda will pay PHP5,000 as penalty for his Flagrant 1 against Barangay Ginebra. (Ivan Stewart Saldajeno/PNA)
