Cops seize P408-K worth of shabu in Batangas

BATANGAS CITY – Police operatives seized PHP408,000 worth of shabu from two drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations in Batangas Tuesday night.

Batangas acting police director, Senior Supt. Edwin Aguilan Quilates, said the two suspects were arrested during drug buy-bust operatons in the town of Tuy and Batangas City.

In his report to Calabarzon Police Regional Director, Chief Supt. Edward Esperat Carranza, Quilates identified the suspects as Hasanor Mohammad alias “Jhunnix”, 22, of St. Claire H2, Dasmariñas City, Cavite; and Bin Fahd Jundam Arabani alias “Ben”, 38, a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) delivery truck driver, resident of Maharlika Village in Taguig City, Metro Manila.

He said the Tuy Municipal Police Station and the Batangas Police Intelligence Branch (PIB-PDEG) Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, along with the Batangas City Drug Enforcement Unit (BCDEU), seized around 60 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 408,000.

Tuy town police chief, Senior Inspector Domingo Deinla Ballesteros Jr., said the police buy-bust operation in Barangay Luntal around 10:30 pm. led to the arrest of alias Jhunnix.

Seized were two heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 30 grams with a street value of PHP 204,000; 11 PHP-1,000 bills marked money and a color gray/black body bag.

The other buy-bust operation in Barangay Balagtas in Batangas City around 11:45 p.m. resulted in the arrest of alias Ben.
