NCCA offers writing grant proposals for Cavite LGUs, orgs

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the provincial government will provide technical assistance to government units, organizations (both public and private), including academic institutions in writing grant proposals for submission to the 2019 Competitive Grants Program (CGP).

The Provincial Tourism Office, headed by officer-in-charge Elinia Imelda Rozelle Sangalan, disclosed Wednesday that a forum on writing the grant proposal will be held at the Cavite Cooperative Development Center here from 1 to 4 p.m. on July 9, and is open for a maximum of three participants per LGU or group.

The NCCA annually calls for the submission of the proposal for assistance from civil society organizations, people’s organizations, indigenous people’s organizations, individuals, local government units (LGUs), government agencies, state universities and colleges as well as public schools for the development, protection, preservation and dissemination of Philippine culture and the arts through the National Endowment Fund for Culture and the Arts (NEFCA) under Section 13 (f) of Republic Act 7356 (NCCA Charter).

Proponents applying for the CGP are required to submit a project proposal, subject to the specified rules and documentary requirements set by NCCA.

The conduct of the technical assistance for the 2019 Grants Program will ensure the widest dissemination of information and opportunities for various organizations to avail of the NCCA grant, according to the provincial tourism office.

The forum will also aid participants on what and how many grants are available, amount of support, criteria for evaluation, requirements and expected output, deliverables.
