LPA spotted off Cagayan

MANILA — A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted off Cagayan early Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

As of 3 a.m., the LPA was spotted 1,095 kms east of Aparri, Cagayan.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather bureau said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms which may cause flooding and landslides due to light to moderate or at times heavy rain.

Coastal waters across the country will be slight to moderate.

Temperature range in Metro Manila will be from 24-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City, 23-33 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 16-24 degrees Celsius; Angeles, City 23-32 degrees, Celsius; Lipa City, 24-32 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu, 25-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao, 25-33 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
