Scattered rain showers over PH Saturday

MANILA — Most parts of the archipelago may experience rain showers on Saturday, said the state weather bureau.

The southwest monsoon is affecting the western section of Luzon and Visayas, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, central and western Visayas, and the provinces of Bataan, Batangas, Cavite, Mindoro and Palawan. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow over Luzon and western Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
