Anti-drug ops net 4 drug pushers, 4 users in Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan — Four drug pushers and four users were caught in a series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted in this province on Monday.

Senior Superintendent Chito G. Bersaluna, acting director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, identified the arrested drug peddlers as Renato Acid Jr., a resident of Paombong town; John Carlo Coronel of Hagonoy; Ric Andrew Redelosa of Calumpit; and Andriano Ramos of Pandi.

The four other suspects, who were arrested while having a pot session in Meycauayan City, were identified as Jericho Wico, Darwin Raymundo, Renato Gumapos, and Jendrix Enguillo.

The suspects and the pieces of evidence seized from them were brought to the Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination.

Criminal complaints against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.

Meanwhile, 54 persons, including 23 minors, were also arrested Monday during the implementation of “Oplan Rody.”

Bersaluna said that the minors were rounded up for curfew violation.

Sixteen individuals were apprehended for drinking liquor in public places; five without upper garments in public places; two for violating smoking ban and eight others for violation of other ordinances in the city of Malolos and the towns of Angat; Plaridel; Paombong; Calumpit; San Ildefonso;  Norzagaray; Bustos and Pulilan.

Bersaluna said that 52 of those arrested were advised to go home while the two others were turned over to the barangay.

He said the province of Bulacan is continuously and relentlessly implementing its intensified campaign against illegal drugs dubbed as “Project Double Barrel Reloaded,” as well as “Oplan RODY” as directed by PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde and Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon) regional director Chief Supt.
