Negros Oriental receives ambulance from SAP Go

DUMAGUETE CITY — In less than two weeks, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Secretary Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has fulfilled his promise of an ambulance, made during his recent visit to the province of Negros Oriental.

During the Nutrifest 2018 jointly organized by the city government of Dumaguete and the provincial government headed by Governor Roel Degamo on July 8, Go promised to provide Negros Oriental with an ambulance for use in the district hospitals.

True to his promise, a brand new Grandia ambulance arrived on Thursday, complete with accessories, and was received by the governor.

Degamo immediately turned over the brand new ambulance to Dr. Georgita Partosa Sasing, supervising physician of the seven Community Primary Hospitals (CPH) in the province.

Dr. Sasing said they have been requesting for an ambulance for almost two years, and thanked Sec. Go, through the governor, that they have received one.

She said the brand new ambulance will be detailed at the Dawis CPH, which has the most number of patients from the hinterland barangays, including referrals.

“We really requested for this ambulance kay sigi og kabilin sa dalan ang among ambulansiya, kuyaw sa mga pasyente nga ibiyahe gikan sa bukid paingon sa ubos (We requested for this ambulance because our ambulance always breaks down and is not safe for patients being ferried from the mountains down to the hospital),” she added.(Juancho Gallarde/PNA)
