MANILA — The low-pressure area located 1,510 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In a weather forecast, PAGASA weather specialist Ariel Rojas said the LPA, which will be named “Karding”, is expected to “enter the PAR tomorrow (July 24)”.

Occasional rains, on the other hand, are forecast in Metro Manila, Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and Western Visayas.

The weather bureau warned of possible flooding and landslides caused by light to moderate rains in these areas.

PAGASA further said other parts of Luzon and eastern Visayas would have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
