Alleged gunrunner, 2 others killed in Makati ops

MANILA—Three suspects were killed in two separate operations by the Makati police on Tuesday evening.

In a report to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), the Makati police said the first incident involved suspected gunrunner Alexander Millado, 45, a retired Marine and a resident of 377 Macangga St., Barangay Cembo, Makati City.

The incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. of July 24, 2018, when the suspect opened fire on policemen who were serving him a search warrant. A gunfight ensued resulting in Millado’s death.

Recovered were a caliber .357 handgun without serial number with six live ammunition, a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, a caliber .38 revolver without serial number with three fired cartridge case and three live ammunition on its cylinder.

In a separate operation conducted along Laperal Compound, Guadalupe Viejo, Makati City, two unidentified male suspects were also killed in a shootout with anti-drug operatives.

Recovered from the scene were a caliber 9-mm handgun with live bullets and fired cartridge casings in the cylinder, a fragmentation hand grenade (M26) with complete fuse assembly, a caliber .22 magnum without serial number, seven plastic sachets of shabu, a sling bag containing four pieces plastic sachets of shabu, dried marijuana leaves weighing 15.33 grams, a digital weighing scale, an improvised glass pipe, two lighters, a pair of scissors and a plastic sealer. ( Benjamin Pulta/PNA)
