MANILA — Some 12,000 job opportunities in the construction sector will be offered at the job caravan under the “Build, Build, Build” program of the Duterte administration on Sunday (August 12) at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

In a statement, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III said thousands of jobs available in the one-day job fair are not only for local applicants but also for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

“Jobseekers, particularly workers who have returned from overseas employment as well as graduating students, are called to take advantage of the job opportunities under the job caravan,” Bello said, adding that many jobs will be available as the government boosts its infrastructure spending under the Duterte administration

The job fair will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar said multiple participants from the construction sector are expected to join the event.

“We invited employers and contractors from the DPWH, Department of Transportation, and Bases Conversion and Development Authority who handle ‘Build, Build, Build’ projects.
