MANILA — A Manila-bound Cebu Pacific flight bound was diverted to Clark International Airport in Angeles, Pampanga on Saturday evening due to bad weather.
Cebu Pacific (5J) flight 390 Cagayan De Oro-Manila was diverted to Clark, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.
Skyjet (M8) flights 816/817 Manila-Basco-Manila were also cancelled earlier because of the inclement weather.
The latest bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) showed that the southwest monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas is being enhanced by tropical storm “Karding”, which was last eyed at 805 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes.
At 8 p.m. Saturday, PAGASA also issued a red warning alert over Metro Manila and Rizal. Torrential rainfall and severe flooding are expected under the red warning level. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
