MANILA — The Quezon City local government on Monday allowed the operation of an e-bingo center in Fairview.
The Quezon City Council granted an authorization to a local gaming corporation to operate an “electronic bingo” on the third floor of Fairview Center Mall in Don Mariano Avenue, Quezon City.
The issuance of the permit is subject to the rules and regulations promulgated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor).
The City Resolution 7376-2018, authored by Councilor Ranulfo Ludovica, grants Millenium Bingo Fun Gaming Corporation owned Lorenzo Kho to operate bingo in the said area pursuant to the regulations of Pagcor.
The resolution states that “a special permit is granted to Millenium Fun Gaming Corporation to run a bingo hall in Don Mariano Avenue corner Regalado.”
It added that the Millenium Bingo Fun Gaming Corporation should comply with the following rules and regulations of Pagcor:
— the conduct of the bingo game should be in accordance with the regulations of Pagcor;
— no other games not related to bingo should be conducted in the area;
— no minors will be allowed to play; and
— the operator should remit to the city treasurer a franchise fee of three percent of their gross revenue.
“Under the provisions of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the city council, through a resolution, may grant a Special Permit or License,” the resolution said. (Perfecto Raymundo, Jr./PNA)
