PAL raises flight frequencies in int’l, domestic routes

MANILA — Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will increase flight frequencies in many of its domestic and international routes from Oct. 28 to December, spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said on Thursday.

“We’ve already increased flight frequencies in some of the routes, while most of the expanded flight frequencies are slated to start in October,” she told the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

For the international destinations, the carrier decided to add the flight frequencies in time for the winter season. PAL will be deploying a fleet of its brand new aircraft, such as the Airbus A350-900 and the A321neo.

At present, three of PAL’s new Airbus A350-900 were already delivered in the Philippines, to be used for long haul flights.

PAL has six orders of the A350, an aircraft that can fly up to 8,000 nautical miles.

PAL also claimed that the A350’s cabin is quieter compared with other aircraft, since it uses a design and technology that reduce the noise by up to four times.

Among PAL’s new service offerings are the Manila-Sapporo route (scheduled this October) and the non-stop Manila-New York flight.
