10th Malasakit Center launch in Pampanga on Oct. 8

MANILA — Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go is set to launch the 10th Malasakit Center in Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in Pampanga on Monday, Oct. 8.

During his visit in Pampanga last August 28 to provide relief assistance to those affected by flooding, the presidential aide promised to put up a Malasakit Center in Pampanga during his visit.

Go eyed to put up the health facility in Pampanga to give Kapampangans easier access to financial assistance, in line with President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s commitment to provide quality health services to all Filipinos.

Duterte’s top aide has been instrumental in putting up Malasakit Centers throughout the country.

The health center is a one-stop shop program of Duterte which seeks to hasten the delivery of medical services and give poor patients access to free medicine.

Under the program, patients are assisted in availing themselves of the services and financial assistance provided by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the Philippine Amusement and Games Corporation (PAGCOR), Department of Health (DoH), and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Pooled together, the assistance can push the patient’s medical bill, including medicines, to the lowest possible amount. (OSAP PR)
