Mayor Lani Revilla, party mates hear mass before COC filing

BACOOR CITY, Cavite — Incumbent City Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla , Vice Mayor Karen Evaristo and political party mates, all members of the One Bacoor Party, heard Holy Mass at the historic church of St. Michael the Archangel on Friday morning before they filed their respective certificates of candidacy (COC) for the May 2019 elections.

Revilla and the One Bacoor Party trooped to the church in the city proper as early as 6 a.m. for the Holy Mass and boarded their respective vehicles for a motorcade to the new Bacoor Government Center in Molino Blvd. to file their candidacy for their respective posts at the city’s Commission on Elections (Comelec) office.

Revilla is seeking a second term as city chief executive.

The aspirants as 1st District councilors are Rowena Bautista Mendiola, Mike Bautista, Mike Solis, Alex Gutierrez, Toto Guerrero and Adriel Gawaran while 2nd District candidates are Alde Pagulayan, actor King Gutierrez, Boy de Leon, Robert Javier, Obet Advincula, and Guding Nolasco.

Cavite’s 2nd District Board Members Aba Gawaran and Rey Fabian are also seeking reelection.
