SAN ANTONIO, Nueva Ecija – A Sangguniang Bayan (municipal council) candidate in Purok 3, Barangay Julo here was killed by a lone motorcycle-riding gunman a few meters from his house on Friday afternoon.

Allan Joson, 42, died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds, police reported.

It is alarming that there have some high-profile casualties here in our province.
